I encourage anyone who wants to get to know their horse to go and spend some time with Kylie. As a beginner in my mid 40’s I lacked knowledge and confidence and as I had just purchased my horse- “Stanley” I knew I had to show confidence and knowledge around him. I decided to take Stanley and myself to Kylies’ home and spend a few days there. I wish it could have been longer but intend on a return visit this year. My stay was one of the most rewarding things I have done and both myself and Stanley are reaping the rewards of Kylies advice and training. Kylies’ methods make you think as your horse would which then enables you to understand them more and develop a wonderful trusting relationship. I encourage anyone who wants to get to know their horse and develop more confidence and skills in all areas of horsemanship to contact Kylie. I’ve had many horses over the years, but recently become the proud owner of a young 2 year old palomino gelding, Duke. I’ve never had experience with a green horse before, and wanted to know that when the time came to find someone to break him, in that I was making the best choice, for him and for me. It was a difficult decision, many people were recommended to me, yet after speaking with them it just didn’t ‘feel’ right. I came across Kylie Goodwin’s website, and emailed her with all the thoughts I had spinning around in my head. From the very first email I received from her I felt like I was finally getting somewhere. Everything she wrote really clicked with me, from explaining how she works with the horses, her techniques, her advice, I knew straight away it was what I was looking for. After numerous emails back and forth I finally made the decision to send my horse to her. Kylie is gentle, kind natured, patient and obviously experienced in what she does, all of which is evident when speaking with her over a coffee to watching her interact with the horses.

After leaving my boy with her she was always happy for us to stop by and visit him, always responded to my emails and questions quickly, and updated me along the way as to how he was doing. I felt completely relaxed and comfortable knowing he was in her care. Kylie and Martin’s property in just gorgeous, so horse friendly and always welcoming. Towards the end of Duke’s training we arranged a time for me to come up and do some work with myself, Kylie and Duke, and this was the day where I realised that Kylie’s work had by far exceeded all my expectations. When I ride my horse we are just so in tune with each other. Its so different than riding other horses I have owned. Kylie has explained and shown me how to continue on with Duke’s education now that he is home, and I’m looking forward to spending more time with Kylie in the future and learning more from her.

Thank you SO much Kylie, for all the wonderful work you have done with Duke. Words cannot describe how happy I am with the outcome, and having my boy home and riding together brings me so much joy and happiness

After almost 40 years of riding I realised something was missing with a particular horse I had owned for 8 years. Although I adored him, I didn't really understand the way he thought or really connect with him as I had with other horses, something just hadn't clicked. That is until I came across Kylie Godwin.

Kylie has given me exersises to help me keep my horse focused and we now work together and not against each other. I realised I had been trying too hard and confusing him. Kylie is a kind, gentle, intuitive and gifted horsewoman who has helped me unlock the secret to how my horse thinks and reacts to certain things. Quite simply, she thinks like a horse. She is a patient communicator with not only horses but humans as well. I can feel my horse thinking ... at long last someone can explain me to my Mum. I have been given a gift as far as I am concerned in meeting Kylie and so has my horse. My horse needed to find someone to train me, not the other way around. I could never adequately convey my gratitude for what Kylie has done for my horse and I. I so look forward each week to my next session with Kylie where I know I will learn more things to help me bulid a better partnership with my beautiful horse.

I can't thank Kylie enough for the wonderful job she did starting my young horse. I have had my filly for 3.5 years since birth and had always dreamed of one day riding her but due to my inexperience and lack of confidence, I never thought the day would come. Kylie helped me to understand the simplicity of spending quality time with my horse both on-line and under-saddle and I am so delighted to be able to do everything myself! Spending time with Kylie during the backing process was invaluable as I was able to 'grow' with my horse and learn what she was learning. Putting it all together when we got home was a bit scary at first but with the constant support of Kylie via my many emails (thank you!), we are doing brilliantly. Being involved in the equine industry for 20 years and being promised the earth and achieving very little, except to lighten my bank account, I came across Kylie one Wednesday morning on the net. With much scepticism, I e-mailed and had a prompt response. After being accepted to spend some time with Kylie in the Visiting Student Program, I booked my flight and flew all the way from the UK to Australia. As soon as I walked into the house I felt at home - there was a lovely atmosphere. Working with Kylie was a life changing experience. I was getting results and answers to questions no one could ever answer before. It was everything Kylie promised and within 2 months I had learnt more than I have learnt in my 20 years of working with horses. These guys really do know what they are talking about! I would like to pass on a big thank-you to Kylie & Martin for the fantastic program they have set up and it won't break the bank which is a major relief as anyone in the equine world knows all too well how much people can charge.

At first I reluctantly crossed over in to the 'Natural' Horsemanship (NH) realm by sending a young horse I had started to Kylie. I had always worked with traditional harder methods. One particular young horse, a favourite of mine, had become rigid and a bit of a “hammerhead” through my doing. My options were to continue the way I was handling the horse and make the problem worse or try something different.

I contacted Kylie and after a few long conversations and a visit to assure myself I was doing the right thing, I sent the young horse down to Kylie for inclusion in the 6 week Harmony Foundation Program, a big step for someone like me that has never sent a horse to anyone else my whole life.

If I had known then what I know now I would never have hesitated and should have sent the horse there earlier! Not only has Kylie returned the horse to me softer and more responsive but I have also learnt a different and improved way of communicating and handling my horses, to work with them in a team rather than master and servant. I now take a different and much more productive approach to handling and enjoying my horses, and have a desire to learn more about NH.

I am very satisfied with the results, level of service, value for money and dedication that Kylie has shown to me as a client. As someone who started out as a NH sceptic, I am more than happy to recommend you contact Kylie to discuss your equine training needs and get more out of your horse.

I recently have had the pleasurable opportunity of dealing with Kylie when I purchased one of her wonderful young horses.

Being in another state this required a lot of communication and logistics. Kylie was always wonderful to speak with and so very helpful. I have purchased many young horses and moved them around the country and the dealings with Kylie has topped them all. She went out of her way to make the whole experience pleasurable and easy. To her credit she also went out to meet the transport company at a ridiculous time of the early morning, 1.00am, as they were running very early with their pickup time. I regularly use this company and they had nothing but praise for Kylie and her attitude even after driving over an hour to meet them.

Kylie followed up promptly after my new boy arrived, made sure that the trip went well and if I had any questions. To aid in his and my adjustment to our new live together Kylie also supplied a training program and a detailed history. This aided me with moving his education forward.

The young man that I purchased is an absolute delight, he is calm and responsive and probably one of the most handsome leopard appaloosa’s in my area. This of course is a biased opinion. He has been very well educated with the basics and excellent ground manners which reflects on Kylie’s ability to speak to her horses. I have no doubt that he will be my best friend and the champion that I see in him.

Spending time with Kylie as a visiting student from the USA was a life-changing experience. I arrived with an open mind and would never have thought I could learn so much about horsemanship and it's relationship to my own life path in a country town 'Down-Under'. Kylie welcomed me into her home as part of the family and gave me answers to many questions I had lined up even before we got out to the horses! We spent many hours discussing training and theories then putting them into practice. Kylie was very open to my thoughts and experiences and had a knack of explaining things in such a way that made perfect sense to me and consequently the horses I worked with.We also experimented with many different angles to a situation, helping me stretch my horsemanship boundaries into areas I hadn't previously ventured. Kylie was patient and supportive, even when it seemed like an answer just wasn't appearing for me or the horse. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to start a young horse and travel interstate to a clinic with another fabulous Horsemanship Clinician, Steve Halfpenny during my stay. I returned home with a head full of new ideas and principles that I immediately put into practice with my own horses with great success, solving horsemanship mysteries that had previously eluded me. Thank you Kylie for providing such a wonderful experience and a continued source of support and friendship.
